My 2.5 year old Havanese initially had patella issues but I think her hips are involved. She can't even make it to the end of the block on walks before she sits down and won't walk anymore.

Thank you for your show. It was fun and enjoyable. We just got a mini schnauzer on March 17. We’ve named her Penny Lane, but it retrospect, we should have named her Paddy for St. Patrick’s Day. Anyway, she has her normal floppy ears, but her tail is docked, and it always makes me feel so bad for her. My other small dogs, a cocker spaniel mix and a Yorkie-poo mix both have terrific long tails that dust off the lower shelves. Even our two standard poodles, whose tails are docked, have more tail than Penny. I agree with you. I hate the idea of docking tails and cutting ears. That said, we LOVE our Penny Lane. She’s a real treasure. Currently, she is 11.4 lbs and 16 weeks old. Our vet says she is progressing normally and in good health.

Our Schatzi a longhair dachshund 22 years old stored eating. I fed her with a bottle raw honey little milk water and penutbutter for digs with Ashwagunda. She took it force fully 4 days ago no she really does not want it. She has been drinking peppermint tea on her own I give her a bath 2x a day because she pees on herself still outside. Her stool is runny. Our 5 month old Doberman puppy is been so gentle with her. We lost Schatzis friend a German Shepherd Doberman and Akita mix. She passed at home last October suddenly. By the vidio I took fir my vet she said she had a spleen ruptured. She was fine in the morning then start shaking and through up laid down and a passed. Ever-increasing Schatzi has been going down we thought a new Dog would help. Schatzi was a rescue as well she was 7 month old when we git her. I been praying 🙏 for God to let her fall a sleep. But no so Schatzi has a Vet appointment @ 11.30am Heidi will go with us. Schatzi was present when Akita passed...thus us so heart breaking 😢😭😭

She may be Autistic, like I am, and took what you said LITERALLY. We are supposed to respect and listen to you. She probably won't be back, because she felt your judgement and hates you, now. She really thought it there could be a difference between being inside or outside. Like the difference between inside light and heat and outside sun and heat. Air pressure is different inside and outside, too. She probably knows more about cats than you do, too. At least about their feelings. Autistic people love cats, and take very good care of their pets. She'll find another vet. You should know and understand about hurting people's feelings as a professional. Showing how insensitive you are by monetizing your mockery of her, on UA-cam proves it. If this was just a joke and not a real situation, you really need a therapist. All she wanted to do was make her cat feel better. All you want to do is get a few likes.

I think with pets the same thing applies with humans. God is in control. There are afterlife experiences which tell of ppl seeing their pets from long ago in the next plane of existence. It's hard to deal with, but I believe our Creator calls His animals home too, and we can join them again someday. Anyone who doesn't believe; accept Christ because He accepts you.

After MANY calculations on my 14 year lab i got 34-48% today, I let him go yesterday. Makes me feel like it was the right descision. He was happy and everything was working but walked slow, waking up in the middle of the night with loud breathing, stiff legs. A bleeding lumb on his nose made the final descision. Surgery wasnt an alternative and he didnt want to run after things for more than 1-5 meters anymore. Just to mention a few. There were more issues. Some dogs dont get very sick, my dog just got older and older each day, but still very happy. Thank you Hektor for all years. I was 22 and now 36. We were alone in life together…

I am currently faced with having to put my dog down. She's old and has heart disease. She's still lively enough and a happy dog. But I'm conflicted about when I should put her down. I decided when she starts to slow down and show definite signs. That's when I will do it. I'll make that dreaded phone call. Because I want my memories of her to be good ones, not bad.

I know it's interchangeable, but I wish you would have mentioned cats too. We went through the wringer after my cat had some sort of neurological issue (maybe a stroke) over the New Years weekend 2024. We did the Sub Q's for 2 months keeping her hydrated because her tongue was partially paralyzed after the possible stroke and she could eat the pureed and gravy type foods for a while. In the end, she couldn't even get those down and she would gag with the smallest lick of food. That's when we knew it was time. She went over the rainbow bridge at our vet's office via euthanasia on 2/28/2024. She was born on 2/27/2010 so we celebrated her 14th birthday the day before we knew we had to put her down. When she couldn't get a lick of food down anymore, it was time. We got her on Mother's day 2010 and my youngest child was 4 years old. He is now 19 and he was her best friend here whole life. In the end she slept in his room and which is where she was more comfortable. She was a family member and we all took it so hard. But we had to do what was right because once she couldn't get food down anymore she was definitely suffering and we couldn't let it go on anymore. At her healthy weight in October 2023 she was 10.5 lbs. The day we brought her in for euthanasia 2/28/2024 she was 8.5 lbs. It was clear no matter how hard we tried to keep her around, she was declining and no longer had a brightness in her eyes. It was time. I'm still grieving hard over it , as is all of our family. We miss her. RIP "M"!

My family 2 grown kids3 grandchildren. Will Need to score me on HHHHHMM If I have to do this. I've seen 360 down ward spiral today. & I've already been crying for 2 weeks. I always thought I can't play God. My last dog before Zoey, I kept Buster comfortable until he let me know. All dogs tell you when there done. Buster walked right up my chest gave me kissed. & stopped eating & drinking. I called my daughter. She really stepped up that day. My Maltese is almost 15 yrs old. I rescued her they were putting her down what? She's my BESTFRIEND .

It does not take research to hypothesize/know that de-sexing and messing up bone, joint and ligament growth and health is BAD. Do not spay or neuter your dog. Even waiting for several years, de-sexing is the cause of obesity in pet dogs and that puts great strain on the knees and other joints. Many de-sexed dogs gain wait despite the owner cutting way back on their food. And, understand that cutting the rations by 50% cuts the nutrients by 50% and the deficiencies prevent the body from efficient repair of the tissues that has to happen continuously. Kibble fed dogs are at great risk for many health problems.

My dog had GVD and almost died last June. Thank God he has an amazing vet who saved his life. It happened again last night, and we were in the er vet at 3am. Thank God again that his vet did the gastro plexy last time it saved him this time. The vet thinks he has gastroparesis so we are making an apt to follow up with his normal vet to see if there is anything we can do to prevent it from happening again
